SENS-BMP280
Capteur pression/température BMP280
BMP280 I2C/SPI — pression 300-1100hPa ±1hPa, température -40..+85°C.
Technical analysis
The BMP280 is a compact, factory-calibrated digital baro/temperature sensor. Its pressure resolution (0,16 Pa) and relative accuracy (±0,12 hPa) make it useful well beyond altimetry: tracking vacuum on a suction circuit, enclosure ambient control, filter-clogging detection via pressure drop. It is an ideal design-of-experiments sensor when pressure is a factor (baking, moulding, drying).
Limits: it is a barometric absolute pressure sensor, not a high-pressure process transmitter — for hydraulics in bar/hundreds of bar, a dedicated 4-20 mA transmitter is required (see the retrofit below). The −40/+85 °C range rules out hot spots; for high temperature, you move to the thermocouple (MAX31855).
